Modern airline entertainment systems have certainly come a long way. The most advanced now offer a TV screen in the back of every seat, showing multiple satellite channels, as well as movies and even games to pass the hours away.

Having over thirty satellite channels at your fingertips makes long distance travel much more bearable. However, sometimes I wonder if maybe… just maybe… it’s gone too far. I have to say, there is no feeling that can quite compare to being 35,000 feet in the air, sitting on Delta’s flight 448 and watching CNN’s coverage of the crash of Delta’s flight 5191.
