Hey there Blogger Folks,
Frenchy here, President and Chief Bloggist from the widely ignored blog called Frenchy’s Rant. I’ve been using your free blogging service now for a few years, and would like to first say a hearty thank you for allowing me to post my meaningless rambles and brain vomit cost free for all fifteen of my faithful blog readers to overlook.
Recently, there have been some changes to your fine service which, quite frankly, suck. In particular, I am talking about the way images are now processed on this blog. In the past, I could post images that were properly resized for the width of my blog template. The few souls who stumbled across my blog could immediately see that, in addition to a crappy writer, I am also a crappy photographer. Now, when I add an image, the image is posted in it’s full size, out of focus glory.
Example of the problem:

See the problem? Unless readers now take the time to click on each image – a big problem to me since hardly anyone even reads my blog – they’ll miss important details. For example, the dirty old letch slouched in the chair staring at the bikini hotties on the beach. This is a very important detail to the overall story of the picture, a very important detail which could easily be missed. That’s not an improvement, that’s stupid. I would imagine this is a bigger problem for blogs that actually have a following, but it’s a pain in the ass for me too.
Now that Google owns Blogger (along with just about everything else) it’s impossible to get help, or even much information about this new so-called ‘feature’. Googling ‘blogger image size problem‘ brings up a bunch of forums where other, real bloggers are complaining about this issue, so it’s not just me being… well, being typical bitchy, cranky ol’ Frenchy. But in my Googling, there is nowhere I can find that says they are fixing it, working on it, care about it or anything.
Come on, Googleguys! You’re the mega-geniuses that brought us AdSense! Certainly you can forgo some of that great ‘Go Fuck Yourself’ attitude that the AdSense AssHoles have perfected and get this stupid problem fixed.
Hmm… maybe that’s what the Bloggerati over at Google Master Control need. A dose of their own medicine! OK, I’m game. Googlegoons, until you look into and more importantly FIX this silly image posting upgrade, I present you with this award:
With November comes the beginning of what I like to call ‘Stupid Season.’ This is the time of year that the WWE packs up everything and ships it over to England for the second of our twice-yearly series of British broadcasts. Then, there is Thanksgiving, which is always… well, it’s always something.
Then, after that holiday, the WWE packs up the gear once again, and we get FedExed to Iraq for the annual ‘Tribute to the Troops’ show. Christmas and New Years round out ‘Stupid Season,’ which is soon followed by my favorite season of all, Riding Season.
I am holed up right now in a TV truck in Manchester, UK, getting set for RAW on Monday night. These trips used to be completely work-free paid vacations for me, as there was very little for me to do. Now, I have actual responsibility, so the vacation aspect of the trip has been somewhat curtailed. But all work and no play makes Manchester a dull place, so, as always, I made sure to take some time for fun stuff too, which in this case was snap a few quick pictures of Manchester:

It’s funny to think of Manchester as ‘just another place we go’ now, to already have an idea of the lay of the land and where all the fun places in town are. This is my fourth time vacationing in this city, and while there is always more to explore, I feel like i know this place pretty well. Things are definitely changing here, however. The Neanderthal bouncers actually allowed us in to the pubs last night!
The shows will go on as all shows must, as will Stupid Season. And when it’s all over, riding season will once again be rearing it’s ugly head, the thought of which almost makes slogging through Stupid Season worth it.
Almost.
