I think its interesting that the word “Resolution” is made up of the words “Re” which can mean to do over, and “solution”, which means to solve a problem. I seem to make the same re-solutions every year, which is why the word is so fitting.

Here are my same old New Year’s Re-solutions for this year:

1) Stop drinking beer. – -Lasted a whopping 13 hours. I am suprised I made it that long. But I can quit at any time!!

2) Stop eating after 8 PM – – Lasted a day.

3) Stop spilling food on my shirt – – Also lasted a day, and was broken at the same time Resolution Number 2 was.

4) See something, ANYTHING AT ALL in my new telescope.

5) Put 2006 million dollars away for retirement — right now I am exactly 1/200,006,000,000 of the way there!

6) Ride across the country, ride from my home in Rhode Island to Nova Scotia, from Los Angeles to Cabo San Lucas, ride in a foreign country that begins with the letter “I“, take more dirt bike lessons with MotoVentures, take racing lessons on the Las Vegas Speedway, and write interesting blogs, journals and maybe even a book about each and every trip.

7) Grow to be six feet tall.

8) Not make any more stupid re-solutions.
