The Great Unsponsored Nova Scotia expedition, which leaves next Wednesday, has already had an unexpected side effect. Because of that upcoming trip, I was able to justify purchasing a new toy, and satisfying my love for electronic gadgets, at least for a while. I bought a SPOT personal satellite tracker. A little Big Brother-esque, this little device allows others, through a combination of satellite and internet technology, along with a little black magic and probably some help from the CIA, to track anybody that has one on.

With a day off in California today, and a sweet KTM 990 Adventure rented for the day, I’m putting this little thing through it’s paces. The link to the tracking page can be found here.

Faithful Fifteen, I don’t ask for much. Except for now. If you get a chance, check that link out, and leave a comment here and let me know if it works and what you think.

Hmmm…looks like you might be having dinner at the beach right now? I like it….it’s cool that when you click on the list, it gives you the exact coordinates. If Big Brother were really watching it would say “Frenchy750 is at Starbucks”.
So does this new gadget mean that we will get to see everytime you are lost and make a u-turn on the Great Expedition? Lewis and Clark would be proud.

Link work as advertised, What you REALLY want is a live video feed, so we can see where U go as U go.

Have a safe, fun, adventure filled trip. Will be tracking your EVERY move.
